COVID-19 Update #67

We hope that this has reached you in good health. Thank you for your commitment in serving the residents and employees of NYCHA. Together, we can support our communities in need. This issue will highlight the following topics:

  • Accessing Absentee Ballot and Vote by Mail
  • Report Discriminatory Harassment Incidents
  • Women of Color Network: Safe Housing Event
  • Connect with a Medical Provider

Request Your Absentee Ballot and Vote by Mail

If you are unable to vote in person due to COVID-19, you can vote by mail and request for your absentee ballot here

Health concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic are part of the expanded definition of “temporary illness”. For this concern, select "temporary illness" on the application.

Report Discriminatory Harassment Incidents

Discriminatory harassment can come in many forms, including threats, intimidation, or violence motivated by a person’s race, disability, national origin, gender, or other protected status.

Identify discriminatory harassment and report any incidents here to the NYC on Human Rights division.

Women of Color Network: Safe Housing Event

Women of Color Network, Inc. (WOCN) Safe Housing Partnership and United States Interagency Council on Homeless (USICH) is hosting a teleconference to discuss promising practices, challenges, and solutions to accessible safe, short and long-term housing for survivors, women of color and their families.

This teleconference will be an exchange of information. This is an opportunity for programs serving communities of color to learn and share ways to address homelessness and improve housing accessibility. This is also an opportunity for TA providers and funders to hear first line responders articulate the specific needs of survivors and communities of color.
