Mission
Hearts & Homes for Refugees offers a local solution to the global refugee crisis by inspiring, educating and equipping community partners to resettle and empower refugees to rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.

Create life-changing and bridge-building opportunities that encourage tolerance, respect and welcoming for those forced to flee their homes.
Our Welcoming Work
Together with community volunteers, faith, civic and student groups, we provide the scaffolding of support for up to one year with programs led by trained and compassionate staff and volunteers. Grassroots community efforts address all aspects of resettlement, deepening roots and improving refugee outcomes. This work is life-changing for both our new neighbors and those resettling them.
In 2016, HHR was an early adopter of community-driven refugee resettlement that is driving a historic shift in the refugee resettlement paradigm in this country. Today, HHR is proud to be part of Welcome Corps, a nationwide public-private initiative designed to increase capacity to welcome more refugees and build stronger communities.
